Once enrolled, customers can receive a transaction to qualify for participation in the promotion.

Prize Awards

There will be a total of fourteen prizes for 14 winners.
Prizes include:

  • Six (6) 10.4 inch Samsung tablets valued at $48,347.83 plus GCT each
  •  Three (3) HP Laptops 14 inch valued at $105,391.30 plus GCT each

Prize Draws

  • The “GraceKennedy Money Services School Days” promotion winners will be selected from all Qualifying Transactions in weekly random drawings. Promotion runs from July 1 to August 31. The draw dates are July 16, 23 and 30; as well as August 9, 13, 20, 27 and 31. The draw dates would apply to transactions done during this period.
  • Winners are eligible for one prize only.
  • All prizes are transferable to a loved one of choice solely by the winner and cannot be bartered. Tuition prize winners will not receive the funds directly and must provide the name of their nominee, who will benefit from the scholarship, to the Sponsor.  Failure to provide the nominee’s name will result in disqualification.
  • The individual to whom the tuition prize is being transferred must be attending school. School is defined as an educational institution that is registered by the Ministry of Education or the University Council of Jamaica. Tuitions will be paid directly to the educational institution by the Sponsor and must be used only for associated school expenses directly related to that specific loved one.
  • The school must provide a written confirmation indicating that the child/individual is indeed a student of that institution.

All scholarship prizes are exclusive of transfers, government taxes and fees, service charges, gratuities and other personal expenses that may be incurred.

Winner Selection

  • Prize winners will be selected at random from the Western Union database using SPSS Version 16 software programme. The process entails logging into the system using company issued credentials, entering the “Qualifying Transaction Period’, then entering the number of winners for the period e.g. 2 for July 1-15. After that is entered, two customers’ names and their contact details will appear on-screen and those individuals will be the winners. We will also select 4 more names (as the back-up winners; one back-up for each winner). Representatives of the BGLC are able to oversee the selection process on all draw dates via our online conference platform, Microsoft Teams. A link to this platform will be furnished on request and the screen share feature will be employed in order for the BGLC representative to oversee the process.
  • Two (2) backup winners will be randomly selected for each winner.
  • Sponsor will make 3 attempts to contact each winner within three (3) working days after the draw.
  • In the event that we are unable to contact the winner, the Sponsor reserves the right to select the backup winners in the order in which they were drawn.
  • Failure to claim their prize within ten (10) working days after notification will result in the prize being forfeited and a new selection made from the backup winners.
